Pilot Profiles HHA has access to a pool of pilots who are
on secondment to HHA from their main employers for the duration of a
tasking. It is company policy to employ pilots who are kept in general
flying practice by their own jobs, whether in the Military or the
Airlines. This aircrew rostering system has been used by us and our
associate companies since 1982 and has proved to be both reliable and
efficient.
All pilots are selected by the Chief Pilot and have to
be approved by the Accountable Manager. Because of the company's
requirement that aircraft are flown to the highest professional
standards, pilots to be qualified and authorised as Commander of HHA
aircraft must satisfy the following minimum requirements:
a. Minimum 1000 hours total First Pilot.
b. An RAF (or equivalent NATO) Flying Log Book
assessment of ability of at least High Average, or equivalent.
c. Have current or previous experience for the tasking
to be flown.
d. Hold a current UK Pilot's License with a valid
medical certificate and radio license. This is an essential requirement
for all pilots.
e. Hold a current military or civil Single Pilot
Instrument Rating.
