Film Work, Advertising And Location Shooting

Along with air displays, HHA specialises in film work and advertising, with the aircraft and our C-Dispersal Site at RAF Scampton having acted both as movie stars in their own right whilst also being used as props and for location shooting of background scenes involving the dynamic environment of a military airfield.

In addition, the Hunter aircraft can act as a stable, high-speed and highly manoeuvrable camera platform. This was one of the roles for which the Fighter Reconnaissance version of the aircraft, the FR 10, was designed.

A detachable nose cone has mountings, and optically clear straight glass camera apertures, to accommodate three cameras, one forward facing and one facing either side enabling stunning air to air and air to ground filming to be undertaken.

Continued close co-operation in this demanding role allows rapid assimilation of filming requirements and an efficient operation once shooting begins. This ensures the best and most cost effective results.
