Close Air Support, FAC &  Chemical Warfare Threat Simulation

HHA operates aircraft designed for the Fighter / Ground Attack role and are ideally suited for training and familiarising army personnel with air operations.

This includes simulating enemy aircraft for the training of air defence forces as well as accurately replicating fighter/attack aircraft conducting close air support for the training of Forward Air Controllers. In this training environment, the side-by-side cockpit layout of the two twin-seater Hunters in our fleet would enable the trainee operator to be given a unique pilots perspective of the mission and hence gain a greater understanding of the role.

We deploy our aircraft near the operating areas and remain on station for approximately 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on the mission profile. With the option of having continuous HHA presence by means of multiple aircraft launches, any course or exercise benefits significantly from our participation.
