Airshow Appearances
With its 12 Hawker Hunter jets, HHA operate the largest Hunter fleet in the world. Two of these aircraft were made available for airshow participation last year. Other interesting aircraft, including a Gulf war veteran BAe Buccaneer S2B, are in the pipeline. Having evolved out of the jet assets of the OFMC, we have been operating Hunters since the early 1990’s. Indeed, it was HHA which placed the Hunter firmly back on the airshow organisers map with the late Mark Hanna’s scintillating and charismatically spirited Hunter displays establishing the Hunter as one of the star attractions on the airshow scene. In particular it should be noted that in the last decade of Hunter operations, the large HHA / OFMC fleet size has resulted in us never having missed an airshow appearance on the grounds of unserviceability. All HHA pilots have exceptional backgrounds in military and aerobatics flying with a wide range of airshow and display flying expertise. Our displays can feature either solo exhibitions or formation flypasts. At the heart of the company’s policy is the commitment to display the aircraft with feeling, passion and finesse in a manner that emulates as closely and safely as possible the roles for which they were originally designed. The Hawker Hunter has been described as an aeronautical legend. We agree! If greatness in a combat aeroplane equates with outstanding service longevity and extreme operational flexibility, the Hunter is indeed truly great and one of the classic fighter designs of all time. It is admired by both its pilots and the spectator alike, due to the combination of a timeless and graceful design with flawless handling and superlative performance. The Hunter is an aesthetically beautiful, British thoroughbred of fighter aircraft in every sense! Due to our requirements to maintain our aircraft and pilots in flying currency, we can offer a Hunter display, subject to range from our home base, at very reasonable rates. We are happy to entertain short notice bookings, and, subject to operational commitments, are available to fill slots cancelled by other participants at short notice. After successfully displaying at such prestigious events as RIAT, Waddington and Duxford last year, we have decided, due to popular request, to utilise the same display aircraft as last year. Hunter J-4021 is the only Hunter currently flying in the colours of the world famous Swiss Airforce Aerobatic Team, “The Patrouille Suisse”, and was in fact their lead aircraft. The other display aircraft, J-4058 is in a standard Swiss Air Force finish although this can readily be adapted to a standard RAF FGA 9 colour scheme. We would be happy to discuss your requirements. For airshow organisers only, please request access to the “Airshow Organisers Pack” which includes all details required to facilitate your booking and advertising / brochure production i.e. operational requirements, display brief, photos, aircraft and aircrew history, insurance details, etc. |
